ADULT MINISTRY GROUPS
- Altar Guild creates a beautiful environment for worship.
- Adult Ministries Council works with adult ministries staff to plan our programs and classes for adults. (Forming)
- Caring Ministries is responsible for hospital, home and extended care visits, crisis meals, rides to church and health outreach.
- Chancel Choir sings for worship and other special events.
- Children’s Ministries Council works directly with our Coordinator of Children’s Ministries to plan and support our children’s program.
- Drama Team is a loose knit group of folks with an interest in creating and/or acting in short skits for Sunday morning worship to expand upon the message.
- Greeters extend a warm welcome on Sunday mornings to new comers, members and friends of St. Paul’s.
- History Team focuses on preserving St. Paul’s historical archives. (This group is reforming.)
- Hospitality Team puts “grounded in hospitality” into action.
- Fellowship Hosts prepare coffee, tea and juice and put out snacks that our Treat Bringers have provided. They are one facet of hospitality on Sunday mornings.
- Library Team is responsible for caring for our church library including cataloguing books, shelving, inventory and promoting library use. (This group is reforming.)
- Prayer Chain members pray for prayer concerns brought to their attention on our presence form. Confidentiality is an utmost concern here.
- Treat Bringers provide cookies, bars, breads, fruit, crackers, or cheese for our Sunday morning Fellowship Hour.
- Stewardship Team promotes and educates the congregation about responsible financial stewardship.
- Sound Team is responsible for the audio visual needs during worship and other events at St. Paul’s.
- United Methodist Men’s focus is fundraising events which support the infrastructure of our church building.
- United Methodist Women support many mission projects throughout the world and are in service in many ways to each other and our congregation.
- Worship Coordinators are responsible for helping worship run smoothly on Sunday morning and for special services.
- Worship Team is responsible for planning and setting a vision for our worship experience.
- Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of parents and friends of middle and high schoolers which helps provide ideas, support and structure to your youth program.
OUTREACH
- Communion and Prayer Outreach provides worship for local assisted living facilities provided by our Senior Ministries Team.
- Food Share is the local food bank for which we collect food. There are drop off baskets in the sanctuary, in our Promiseland classes and in the church office.
- Giving Tree is a Christmas project which enables St. Paul’s people to give gifts to less fortunate children in the Helena area.
- Heifer Project is an opportunity to provide livestock for people in developing countries in a way to encourage self-sufficiency.
- Helena Indian Alliance Team works to help bridge the gap between St. Paul’s and our Native American population.
- Mission Team focuses on promoting mission opportunities in Helena as well as around the world.
- The Knitting/Crocheting Group. Knitters and crocheters meet in the Library (C101) at 4:00 PM on Wednesdays when there is a dinner. They have patterns, ideas, techniques and plenty to chat about. This is a good way to learn how to knit or get back in practice AND to get to know new friends!
