February Worship Preview
February is here and though our thoughts no doubt turn to Valentines, chocolate and flowers, there are some exciting things happening at St. Paul’s as well.
Febuary 5 will be “Super/Souper Sunday/Sundae” which means our children may enjoy “super sundaes” and the rest of us will be donating cans or cases of soup for the benefit of Food Share. Tyler will guide us in our attempt to create a meaningful prayer as he explains that messy prayers are sometimes the best prayers.
Then on February 12 Marianne will tell us the story of Naaman, a great army commander who had an ego problem.
February 19 brings us Mardi Gras Sunday and JAZZ, so be sure to put on your beads and settle in for a joyful worship service. Our Promiseland children will also be celebrating Pretzel Sunday.
Then as we near the end of the shortest month of the year on February 26, Marianne will enlighten us on the baptism of Jesus. Also, we officially begin the Lenten services on Wednesday, February 29.
So, if the winter weather of February is chilling you, come and share in the warmth of our services at St. Paul’s UMC!
