Our Facilities

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church is conveniently located downtown in Helena. We offer two separate facilities for community use:

Our buildings hold a variety of spaces to rent, ranging in capacity from 6 to 500 people. We would be honored to host your next board meeting, group session, concert, memorial, birthday party, wedding, etc. Our spaces range from our large Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall to more intimate spaces.

  • Before booking or using our space, please carefully review our Facilities Use Agreement. This document lists our fees, our policies and procedures, provides a cleanup checklist, emergency contacts, and much more. Please fill out the form on the last page of this agreement to request a reservation at our facility.

  • United Women in Faith (UWF) will assist with funeral receptions held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. UWF will work with family representatives to assist with setup, serving, food and beverages, and cleanup. To learn more, please see the UWF Funeral Policy below:

Church Rooms

Our church is fully handicap accessible and offers an elevator to all 3 floors.

Sanctuary: Our Sanctuary is the large and beautiful space where our congregation worships. It is also home to other faith communities that share our beliefs of inclusiveness and social justice. This space is ideal for concerts, weddings, and worship services. It seats 500, with an additional balcony, which seats 50.

Fellowship Hall: Our basement Fellowship Hall is a wonderful space for events such as lectures, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and dinners. It includes access to a small kitchen, which includes a stove, a dishwasher, and several fridges. It also offers up to 8 round tables and 64 chairs (8 chairs per table). Coupled with our glorious Sanctuary, our Fellowship Hall makes St. Paul’s a wonderful place for celebrations. It seats 100.

Choir Room: Our mid-sized meeting room on the first floor, the Choir Room is suitable for small musical events, meetings, and receptions. It has a capacity of 50 people.

Library: Our Library is a wonderful, intimate space that is perfect for group sessions and book studies or clubs. It seats 20.

Bride Room: Our Bride Room offers a small, private space for Brides to prepare for their big day, and it includes a bench and a space to hang garments. It can hold a maximum of 10 people.

Fireside Room at St. Paul's UMC

Fireside Room: Our Fireside Room is the perfect space for a book club or group meeting, as it offers numerous comfortable chairs, a television, and a cozy atmosphere. It can seat up to 20 people.

Room #104: Room 104 is a small conference room with a large table and chairs, which can seat up to 10 people.

Second Floor Rooms: There are many rooms available for use on SWP’s 2nd floor, ranging from large classrooms to tiny reading rooms. There is no elevator in Susanna Wesley Place, so please be aware that any rooms on the 2nd floor are not handicap accessible.
Rooms include:

Room 209: Long, narrow room with 2 tables and 20 chairs, and can hold up to 20 people.

Room 204: Room 204 is another small conference room with a medium-sized table and chairs, and can seat up to 8 people.

Rooms 201/203: These rooms are classrooms, set up with small desks and chairs. Ideal for children’s activities and events. These rooms can hold up to 20 people.

Room 208: Used for Youth Group activities and gatherings, and can hold up to 20 people.

Rooms 200/207: Small, intimate rooms with lounge chairs that can only hold up to 8 people.

Room 205: Tiny sitting room that is great for one-on-one conversations, and can hold up to 2 people.
