Children’s Ministry

Following the pandemic, we are restoring to a new normal by offering one program for children from birth to 11 years old, Godly Play. Godly Play is a Montessori-based spiral curriculum originally from The Episcopal Church created by theologian, author, and educator, The Rev. Dr. Jerome Berryman. During the school year, St. Paul’s typically offers Godly Play at the church in the Library and Bride Room, after the children’s time, during the 10 am service. Take a look here if you’d like to learn more about Godly Play.

For those children that prefer to stay with their grown-ups during the church service, we offer Kidsword packets with a scripture, activity, and pictures to color. Weather permitting, during the summer, we take the children outside to play on the playground during the 10 o’clock church service. In the fall of 2022, we hope to reopen the nursery and offer programming for our Wednesday night dinners. In the future, we plan to offer a musical theater camp for one week during the summer.

Hello there, and thank you for your interest in Children’s Ministry at St. Paul’s!

My name is Jennifer Ruggles, and I am the Children’s Ministry Coordinator. Here is a little bit about me… I grew up attending Sunday School at St. Paul’s, and trained in College to be a music teacher. I realized I wanted to nurture younger children during this time, where I completed a practicum in a Lutheran preschool and at the Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch. I have been fortunate to grow and learn through various ministry experiences, and I love encouraging young kids in God’s word.
